The Highline School District has purchased a subscription to World Book Online. This comprehensive research site can be accessed here at school, or from other remote locations. To log onto World Book Online, just go to World Book Online Reference Center and, if you are off campus, type in the User name — hsd401 and password — fetch.

In the World Book site, you can choose from Advanced, Student, Discover, Kids, or a Spanish edition. All of these sub-sites come with a varying range of excellent features such as research helps, citation help, translation of articles into 14 different languages, user accounts where you can save your work, and more. Each article is written and edited by highly trained researchers and is aligned to National Standards in education. Discover even has an audio feature that allows you to have the text read to you!

Work done at home can be saved into your account, and then opened here at school for further editing. Check out this valuable resource. If you try it, you'll like it!

We now have a Homework Center after school where you can go to work on your math homework and get help from students or teachers if you need help. Now you can get your homework done before going home. We meet in Room 1502 on Monday and Thursday and Room 1703 on Wednesday. See your math teacher if you have questions.
