Theft of Electronic Devices
In the past, thefts of expensive electronics such as cell phones and iPods® have occurred. If students leave valuables in the locker room in an unlocked locker, they run a great risk that they WILL BE STOLEN! These thefts can be devastating to the victim, which in turn disrupts the overall learning environment. Theft investigations of electronic devices or any valuable items take time and attention away from other safety issues. For this reason, electronic theft complaints will not be investigated. Students who bring these or similar items to school are doing so solely at their own risk and neither the school nor the police department will be liable for lost or stolen property.
School Insurance
The Highline School District requires that student athletes have medical insurance coverage.
